In this close-up painting of the wheat, I have used a more abstract style, with bold and expressive brushstrokes that convey the dynamism and energy of the natural world. The wheat is rendered in shades of gold, orange and brown, with an individual kernel standing out in sharp relief. I get so much inspiration from the beautiful fields of grain around me.
