I painted this from the many colour studies and sketches I make of cornfields. This one was just before the wheat was harvested. I am constantly inspired by this subject matter because of the beautiful colours and patterns created by the wheat as it changes with the seasons. I wanted to capture the expansiveness of it's beauty and glorious colours.
