Evening's Lament

Some of my favourite places to spend time are in area's where nature's beauty and wildness are protected and cared for. I loved the natural abundance of these thistles, with their purple and mauve colours contrasting against the backdrop of the golden yellow cornfield. For me this painting speaks of the conversation of balance between cultivating and allowing nature to thrive for biodiversity.
